COKER, John (I283)

16810 Not found on 1901 census. She states on 1911 census that she is still married, but there is no record of him anywhere on UK census.
As a twist, twin sister Rosina, has an adopted son, John Harold Leo Coker, born Brockley, London C1900, who is the presumed child of John Septimus and Lavinia.
No record found of John Septimus Coker's death, but Lavinia remarried in 1917 to a James Thresh. John Harold Leo Coker is staying with his mother and her second husband in 1939 and is described as James Thresh's stepson.

MACKERETH, Mary Ann (I4456)

16812 Not found on 1901 England census. In 1891 census, Emily, aged 74, is living at Welwyn with two boarders. Question on both age and parentage given marriage cert gives her father's name as John.
The best possible baptism is 21 Oct 1921 in Hatfield, Herts, daughter of John Tyler and Sarah. Another clue is that daughter Mary Ann Aldridge is with her grandmother Sarah Tyler aged 18 on 1881 census. As to Mary Ann Aldridge's parentage, the only baptism that fits is in Walkern in 1846 to a James and Sarah. Could it be that Henry's parents baptised this child as their own but she was, in fact, Henry's child born out of wedlock to Emily Tyler? This could explain why she and Henry married in London and not in Herts. Perhaps they had been cohabiting all along?
NOTE also that Emily also gives various ages on census a couple years younger than that which fits the baptism record.

16818 Not found with family on 1911 census and there is a possible death recorded in Orsett, Essex in 1910 for a Sidney Albert Coker as followe. That may be him.

COKER, Sidney (I820)

16819 Not married on 1911 census is living with a widow and her children in what appears to be an arrangement of some sort. They have moved from London to Bristol and he's in the same trade; bootmaking.

LAWSON, Alfred (I1873)

16820 Not on 1841 census with family but there are at least two Fred Nunns elsewhere in Bury on the census one of which would be him

NUNN, Frederick (I4453)

16821 Not on 1851 census with family. He may have gone to Australia at some point as an Alfred Da Costa, merchant, aged 53 in 1891 which fits him turns up in Fulham, London with a wife, Alice, aged 23, who was born in Sydney, Australia

NUNN, Harriet Elizabeth (I6425)

16824 Not on 1881 family census but there is an Annie Nunn born Chevington about 1865 staying with an Alfred Nunn in Surrey and described as his niece. However, this Alfred Nunn is Anne's second cousin. An anomaly? Or just an easier way to describe the family connection? Perhaps the family just referred to him as an uncle even though they knew he was a distant cousin. All speculation of course. She is again found with the same family in 1901 after in 1891 being in service elsewhere. According to obit, she was living in London up until the time of her passing.
Almost certainly the birth mother of George Nunn who is described as a grandson of Anne Philippa Nunn's parents Josiah and Elizabeth.

NUNN, Anne Philippa (I5104)

16825 Not on 1881 famly census. When her sister Julia died in 1933, there was a floral tribute thus: To dear sister Julia, with loving remembrance and sorrowful regret, Sarah and Harry* (Clacton-onSea). This appears to be from Sarah. * Surname Plummer.

Note than 1911 census entry shows that Sarah gave birth to three children but two had died.

WESTWOOD, Leonard (I6449)

16830 Not on 1911 census with family and John is described as a widower

HALLETT, Susannah (I1847)

16831 Not with family on 1901 census, but is on 1911 census. Moved to the USA where she was a nurse at Ellis Hospital, New York and by 1940 was the assistant superintendent. Did not marry. A newspaper report in 1955 about a Ellis Hospital reunion describes her as Miss Duncan.

Following social security entry fits given her birth was registered first quarter 1887 in England, and her birthdate of 17 Nov 1886 is confirmed from school records in England.
Social Security number 102-26-9012 was issued to GERTRUDE DUNCAN, who was born 17 November 1886 and, Death Master File says, died October 1966.

16835 Not yet confirmed, but she is the presumed base child of Ethel Dobbs who was the widow of George Henry RANSLEY (died Nov 1919, so therefore not this child's father).
When her sister Vera died in 1984, she is recorded on Vera's headstone as her sister.

16836 Not yet established which George Nunn was his father. Best fit so far is 6475 Geo Nunn, son of Ann Orridge and Thomas Nunn.
His baptism entry gives his mother as Mary Ann Hardy and it's not established if Hardy was her maiden name as on the 1861 census there is a Thomas Hardy aged 21 living with the family who is either her base son or child from first marriage
Not found on 1861 England census

16839 Note 1 Funeral notice 14 Mar 1899 in The Bury and Norwich Post and Suffolk Standard reads thus:
Funeral of the late Mrs Hubbard - On Monday, March 6th, at noon, the remains of the late Mrs. Hubbard (wife of Nunn Hubbard, late of Hargrave), were interred in Bradfield Comust churchyard, the Rev. - Williams officiating. The deceased lady would have been 62 in May, and had been ailing since Christmas. The floral tributes were handsome and included wreaths from Mr J.H.P.Oakes and Mr. F.Ungless (Nowton Court), Misses M. and K. Johnston (Bradfield Hall), Mr. and Mrs. Coe and family (Bury), Mrs. Farrow (Depden Gate), Miss Bell (Hargrave Hall). Miss Flemming and friends, Mr. and Mrs. Spall, etc.

HEWITT, Mary Ann (I6519)

16840 Note found on 1851 census

JONES, Sarah (I7003)

16841 Note that Charlotte Wales was in the Reith household in 1841. Charlotte Wales had another daughter Mary Spark in 1855 to George Spark, then married Robert Masson in 1867 where she was shown as being single. It seems that Wm Reith and Charlotte Wales did not actually marry even though they had at least one child together. On Charlotte's MC and DC her parents are showed being Isabella Reith and William Wales (reputed). It seems possible that Isabella Reith is a sister or other relative of William Reith.

WALES, Charlotte (I5746)

16842 Note that her older sister Emily married her husband's brother James.

LEE, Sara Ann (I6146)

16843 Note that her sister Alice is staying with her in 1891.

SILVER, Margaret (I8161)

16844 Note that in his funeral notice, the first two mentioned children are William and Margaret (both deceased). William is Robert William who died in WWII but no record yet found for Margaret's birth or death. Given rest of children are mentioned in birth order, it is assumed she may have been a twin who died as a baby. It is possible she was born in 1907 as there is 19 months between the births of Robert William and Alfred Charles.

NUNN, Julia (I5109)

16847 Note that on father's 1942 probate, he is described as Lieutenant in British Army. On marriage certificate his occupation is noted as "private army pay corps". On the 1939 register he described as a Commercial Traveller Advertising Photography. Seems to have lived at same address from 1939 (or before) until his death in 1966.

NUNN, Walter Henry (I7072)

16848 Note that on the 1911 census, Susanna, aged 36 and single, is a visitor in a house headed by James Brown to whom she was married in 1920, presumably after the death of his wife, Elizabeth.
No children from this union.

NUNN, Susanna (I1456)

16849 Note that son George jun living in next house on 1901 census. On 1911 census, they had been married 44 years and five of their nine children were living. NUNN, George (I1451)
