1 Nunn-Malcomson. A pretty wedding was solemnised in the Silkstone Presbyterian Church on September 30. by Rev. Leckenby. the parties being Mr. Dudley Nunn, youngest son of Mrs. R. Nunn, and the late Mr. S. Nunn. Dinmore, and Miss Eileen Mary Malcolmson, second youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs T. J. Malcolmson, Ebbw Vale. Miss Joan Westwood presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory chenlle embossed net over satin. It was made on Empire lines, the bodice showing touches of shirring. The short sleeves were full at the shoulders, and the graceful skirt was graduated to form a long train. Over this billowed her tulle veil, which was caught to the head with a cluster of frangipanni. She carried a shower bouquet of carnations and roses. The bride was attended by her sisters. Mrs. T. Dickson (Matron of Honour), and Miss Isabel Malcolmson, and Miss Joan Greives (a friend) (bridesmaids) They were dressed alike in early Vic torian frocks of white self-patterned organza with full picture skirts. The bodices were tucked to form deep square yokes. They wore large white organza hats to match their frocks, and carried bouquets, of mauve sweet peas and carnations. Mr. Bert Nunn was best man. During the signing of the register. Mr. T. S. Westwood sang "My Prayer." The reception was held at the home of Mrs. Hoepner. Mrs. Malcolmson received the guests wearing a frock of grey delustred crepe with navy ac cessories. Green crepe romaine was the choice of the bridegroom's mother. On leaving for the honeymoon, which was spent at Burleigh Heads. Mrs. Dudley Nunn travelled in Aphrodite Pacific crepe with white accessories

30 From his military service record he received his notice to serve on 23 April at Woolwich. His home address was 3 Pinnock Terrace, Notley Street, Camberwell : his occupation Rag Sorter (actually he was self employed as a costermonger ). Arthur served in France, with the 7 British Expeditionary force as a Rifleman. Was wounded in the right shoulder and foot and returned to England 14 April 1917. Later was posted to 6 Labour Corps as a Private to 6 Reserve Battalion, and discharged 29 March 1918, cause (No longer Physically Fit for War service). From his military medical file date 27 May 1917 ." Notice to Records officer in command Winchester Garrison." In a letter from Commanding Officer 3rd Scottish General hospital, Stobhill, Glasgow. " That Rifleman A Coker be reclassified by medical board to category to B3" . This seemed to be the actual reason for his discharge. The address on his discharge paper was 13 Bowyer Street.

36 Have yet to satisfactorily trace Harriet's family. She may have been born about 1848 and not 1850. There is a Harriet Phillips on the 1851 census at Knottisford St, Tower Hamlets, Bethnal Green, the daughter of George Phillips (weaver) and Sophia. By 1861, they are at Park St, Bethnall Green and the household is George Phillips, head, aged 39, weaver, born Spitalfields; Sophia Phillips, wife, aged 33, seamstress, born Surrey, Harriett, dau, aged 13, born Shoreditch; Thomas, son, aged 5, born Bethnal Green; Henry, son, aged 3, born St Saviours, Surrey. Harriet's mother was known to be alive in 1883 as she met the boat which brought Harriet and her family back from Australia. But yet to track Sophia on 1871 census. On 1881 census, she seems to be at Corbon Rd, Tower Hamlets, aged 60, a widow, needle woman, born Surrey with daughter Jane, aged 19, needle woman, born Surrey. There is also an Elizabeth Phillips, widow, living next door. PHILLIPS, Harriet (I1399)

49 May have been born Apr 1868 and baptised Sep 1870 as Lilian Busby, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth at Tower Hamlets, London. The names she went by seem to be assumed if that is the case. But it appears solid given she is said to be the daughter of Elizabeth Busby on 1901census.
Gives her age as 28 on 1901 cenus and then 41 on 1911 census.
