Note (7) Information from Kevin J. Morton (tekmar@opera.iinet.net.au) Harriet Phillips (20) was a passenger on board the "Maryborough" which sailed from Gravesend England on the 9th December 1869 and arrived in Brisbane Australia on the 15th April 1870, with 114 passengers on board. The "Maryborough" was originally the "Robert Parker" and was renamed on the 10th April 1862 when she was purchased by Baines & Co. of the Blackwall Line.

Emma Aldridge, of 1 Codicote Road, Welwyn, Hertfordshire, was admitted on May 6 1885, aged 8 and a half, and was treated by our surgeon Edmund Owen for Necrosis of the upper end of the Tibia.
Treatment involved "Amputation of the middle third of thigh", and a note is appended that "In November a conical piece of bone separated fr(om) end of stump, after which stump healed up"
