Mr Da Costa was born in Jamaica, and after receiving an education in England, France, and Germany left for Australia on the sailing ship Southampton, arriving in Victoria in 1859. STOREY, Henry Innes (I5428)

17078 Oddly, called sixth child Charles Robert and seventh child Robert Charles which causes considerable confusion.

NUNN, Robert (I4947)

17079 Oddly, he is named Charles Robert and his younger brother is Robert Charles. Causes much confusion but checks out from the available records.
In a document that details the achievements of his youngest son Paul, Charles Robert Nunn is said to have emigrated to the United States because he was a dissenter from the Church of England and embraced Baptist theology
The family arrived in New York, on 16 Jun 1851. Details about Emily Nunn's career say she was one of 11 children. Seven children are found born in the UK, and three in the US.
Charles became a very successful farmer and was able to give his younger children great educational opportunities.

17080 Of Jessie Menzies Silver, her nephew James Murray Silver wrote:
As a young woman my aunt Jessie taught school in Glasgow. She had three children; the youngest, James Silver Kamester, was decorated for service at Gallipoli as a corpsman in WWI, after that he served in France and was commissioned in the RAF, and finally badly injured in a training crash in England. He became a Doctor (MD) and had his practice in Weston-Super-Mare, near Bristol. He died in 1973.

17082 Of the two George Nunns born C1821/2, he seems the best fit for Ann Rayment's husband. The other George (5133) was more likely to have lived between Hargrave and Wickhambrook as his family is found in both place.

17083 Of the two Sarah Masons born in Suffolk between 1830 and 1835, this is most likely the one who married Philip Nunn:

17099 On 1861 census, she describes herself as a widow but in fact her husband Wm Nunn was in Tasmania having being transported in 1844. He later returned to Suffolk and is found on the census in both 1871 and 1881.

HALLS, Sarah (I8057)

17100 On 1871 census, eldest daughter Mary Ann has the surname Murkin. This could mean that she was Sarah's base child before she married James Nunn. To complicate matters there is also a Mary Ann Murkin aged 3 as a visitor and nearby neighbours with the Murkin surname.
