Notes |
- Henry Aldridge, who died at Townsville on November 24, was a well-known northern identity, the second son of James and Mary Aldridge, both noted North Queensland pioneers, resident for many years at Charters Towers.
Prior to his retirement some years ago, owing to failing sight, he was mainly associated in various accountancy, secretarial and managerial capacities, with Charters Towers Stock Exchange (in its hey-day) and latterly in wholesale timber interests.
He is survived by his widow, son, three daughters, four grand sons and one grand daughter, three brothers, William, Joseph and Ernest Aldridge, and one sister, Mrs Charles Willis.
